hello,

I have a boar of probably quite an advanced age (I've had him for about a year). He has a cauliflower willy which hasn't caused him any problems as far as I'm aware. Recently though, when I've been checking, I've noticed that he is getting what I assume must be sperm rods quite regularly. (Once or twice a fortnight) They're never completely hard and it doesn't seem to cause him pain, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and is it normal? My other (1 year old) boar doesn't have this issue.

Two of my boys get them fairly often. One is a 2 year old who rumbles 24/7 and the other is an older 6 year old.

I check their bits during my routine daily check and remove them if necessary.

Thanks Jaycey, I feel better now. It just seems weird that he would suddenly start getting them more often at his age. I think he must be 3 years old at the very least.

Yeah, it's been the same with my 6 year old. He's been fine for years and only in the last year or so i've noticed the sperm rods and patches of glue on his face. Dirty old man, haha!
