Thanks for the keeping the old thread on sperm rods - very reassuring as we’ve had a few issues with our boar Mr Fuzz. He doesn’t seem to extract them himself so we have to…definitely seems to relate to his problems passing urine.

Please let me know if you have tried barley water to help with boat piggy cystitis as Peter Gurney recommended in his book Piggy Potions? Thank you

I certainly did! I'm away until tomorrow, when I get back I'll post the piccie. It was so huge it even made my eyes water!

RB piggy Christian had a bad back and I was always cleaning his bits and clearing sperms rods as he couldn't do it for himself. :vom: :vom:

I have used Barley water with one of my previous boars, i think it helped soothe him a bit. He was prone to utis and blood on urine so i used the Barley water as a supplement.

That’s good to know Julie M - thanks
It’s not too tricky to make so we’re thinking make a batch on a Friday night for him to have over the weekend when we’re around a lot…see if that keeps him clear…
Such a relief - he’s had antibiotics, painkillers etc previously but far better if it’s just irritated to use this if it works
