Hi, I d appreciate everyone s feedback on my dilema, speedy (male) and sylvia (female) have lived together for a couple of years now, but I m concerned that now sylvia is two plus the risks of her getting pregnant could be dangerous, I tried to introduce speedy to my other two boys but they tend to over power him. Question do I take the risk and have speedy neutrered or if Sylvia hasn't got pregnant in two years is she unlikely to. Just in case your wondering they came from pets at home personally I think speedy was a runt of a litter that wasn't expected to live, like the ugly duckling he turned into something unexpected and as a fantastic temperament to go and I don't want to loose him?

There have been cases of seemingly impotent males getting lifelong partners pregnant later in life - with sad results.

It's simply not worth the risk - unless your vet is capable of doing a sperm count.

There are options open to you - neutering if your vet is very experienced and you have tried everything else - bonding him with your other males if they are laid back or boar dating at your local rescue so he chooses his own friend.

I hope you separate him and Sylvia before it's too late, you know that now you've said it that you've jinxed it!

Suzy x
