Blodwen is being referred to exotics specialist vet Molly Varga in St Helens, for her persistant/recurrent honky breathing investigating, has anyone any experience of that practice? I see they are on the recommended vet list, and Blod's current vet says she worked at that practice during her exotics training and Molly is an expert in interpreting piggy xrays and has a piggy CT scanner...
Anyone got any personal experience? Consults start at £200 so I hope they are good! Blodwen says honk wheeze quack she is worth it :)

Wow, that’s expensive, it’s a good job Blod is worth it.

Molly used to work at Cheshire pets who are my own vets referral practice. She once looked at an X-ray for me that my vet sent across and I was happy with the outcome. @VickiA will have had more experience with Molly as she uses Cheshire pets

Molly was our exotics vet for a couple of years before she left to join /set up an exotics referral centre at Rutland House.
Yes Rutland House that's where Blod is being referred, is she good? Do you think she might be able to see from Blod's xrays or a CT scan if there's a heart issue or something causing all the honky breathing?

Hope your referral to Molly for Blod has been arranged now.
Blod's vet Sara did the online referral form today, she says we should hear back in a couple of days about arranging an appointment :) Blod says honk-wheeze-grunt-quack- it! But only quietly in case we see where she is hiding underneath Clover with just her lilac pyjama pants sticking out :)

Blod has an appointment with Molly Varga at Rutland referral hospital in St Helens next Thursday 25th :)
She got a nice information pack sent via email but she wasnt too sure about the photos of snakes and horned frogs...!
And instructions to bring her best friend, favourite bed, and plenty nice food, basically to pack the equivalent of an overnight hospital bag just in case, but with us living so close and it being her first consult she will probably only be there a short time :)

No I bet poor Blodwen was wondering who these strange beasts were, snakes and horned toads, what type of place is it :yikes: Glad you’ve got an appointment, hopefully you’ll find out what’s been plaguing Blod for a while now x

Here's Blod chilling with Auntie Jezzy after a cage clean, usually this time of day she is hiding from medicine time but she's getting a week off meds if she can manage it before her referral appointment. First time in... 3 weeks with no meds! You can tell she doesnt quite trust me not to suddenly whip out a syringe though!

Any news on Blodwen, did she see Molly yesterday x
Poor Blod is very honky today I'm afraid, no honks yesterday but very bad breathing this morning I'm quite worried :( her appointment was for next Thursday but I've phoned and rescheduled it for first thing Monday morning, going to try speak to the local vet today and see if they can do anything else for my little honky flower in the meantime...
