Sow’s urine smells of TCP!

Our little sow, around a year old, has the very odd smell of TCP antiseptic around her bottom area. She’s a long haired guinea pig who is ready for her next hair trim & bath tomorrow evening, but as we were doing our spot clean before bed we noticed the Guinea Dad liner & bath mat had a slight smell of TCP. We picked her up and realised the smell was coming from her around her bottom. I’ve just done a quick wipe around her bits with a cotton pad and the smell is quite strong on the pad. Does anybody know what this could be!? Very odd, I know. 😣 I should add that she is eating/drinking as normal, as well as currently having the “zoomies” during extra floor time.
 
Sounds like an infection to me. Maybe try and get her to the vets and take a urine sample with you. You can do this by placing your piggie in an empty clean plastic box/container and waiting till she pees. Then draw it up into a fresh syringe. This should be done no more than 30 minutes before the vets appointment.
