We have two sows, now about 7 mos old. Initially Kiss (named by my daughters!) was very shy, even bit each of us a couple of times, some rumbling and strutting with Spot (who has always been gentle and sweet). We were patient and Kiss has settled down, takes food from us, lets us hold her though she is still often very nervous. But in general, they have for the most part seemed to be close and happy. Popcorning a lot, eating fairly well (although Kiss has been smaller from the start and doesn't eat as well. Vet thinks maybe the runt of the litter?). We have been so happy lately, as it seemed shy Kiss was starting to come out of her shell and be genuinely happy.

Tonight I had been hearing an enormous amount of noise from the cage. Assumed it was just happy play, but when I went in to check, Spot, the gentle one, seemed very agitated, making an unusual noise I don't recognize (upon research, possibly stressed sound?). I watched a while, and Kiss was definitely bullying Spot, chasing her, almost jumping on her, getting in her face. At first I wasn't bothered by that, but then Spot just seemed so scared, and even ran into a tunnel hole and just froze and hid. Very very unusual behavior. I was afraid Kiss aws going to bite or attack, though I don't see evidence of that having happened.

I separated them. But what is this? Will it continue? I don't want Spot to get hurt.

Your girl is in season probably and asserting her 'bossiness' :x
I have two sisters and one is the more dominant.....when she'd be in season it was horrible for the other sister......she would hump her and torment her...... but you have to let it go UNLESS there is blood shed.
You could get Spot out for some extra loves with you whilst madam Kiss is left in their house. Don't be surprised if they call out for each other!

This link might help you with their sounds :)

p.s. wanted to add....... i tried separting my girls for a short time just to give the quiet one a break.......they ended up calling out for each other :)

They are only in season for 1-2 days :) So hopefully it will settle down soon.
