hi everyone i need some help. i have 5 girls, 2 are 10 months and 3 is about 5 months. i had 2 and introduced the 3. bonding was a hard but they all got a long. over the past 3 day i have saw one of my 10 months piggie being different. i saw her chase with a small bit of teeth chattering head raising and just overall being harsh to the others. they have been together for 3 months and nothing has ever happens like this. i have researched and i believe it her being dominant but i am scared that it may turn out more vicious. no other piggie has challenged her yet and there has been no fighting or blood. but she has never teeth chattered really before to other piggies i am really concerned for the others. please can someone help me.

It could be that she is in season so she is putting everyone in their places. One of my sows has just been like this but after a couple of days it’s all settled down again. Give it a bit of time but keep an eye on them.

It maybe that the three younger ones have reached an age where they are testing the pecking order and your head sow is feeling a little threatened and reminding others who is in charge. This is normal and should calm down especially if they have plenty of sace
