We have 4 sows and they regularly go outside for a little run, however, we have noticed that 1 of our sows always has a wet bum when we pick her up to put her back in their cage.

The other 3 are always dry and fine, but this one sow is wet every single time, I can't think of a time she hasn't been wet. Its underneath her bum that is wet, where her bits would be. What I mean by this is that it isnt from a water bottle of another piggy weeing on her.

What could be wrong? :(

Is it only when she goes out to play that she's wet, or is she wet on other occasions too? Sometimes nervous piggies (particularly if they are somewhere unfamiliar) stay too much in one place, so end up wet.

It can be a sign of a urine infection, but not always, and would usually be accompanied with squeaking when peeing. One to keep an eye on, I think.

Interesting

Thinking about it, we have never noticed it when we put her IN the run, only when taking her out. But, she doesn't sit still in the run, in fact all 4 love it and will popcorn for a bit before demolishing our grass in a matter of minutes!

We will monitor her bum before we put her in and see if we notice it being wet at that point.

My guinea pigs are sometimes a lot wetter underneath coming from the lawn because grass is not absorbent unlike the bedding in their homes. Your wet girl may just pee more when she's sleeping and not move away as when she's awake.
