Sow Questions, First Time Owner

Hello everyone,

I am getting a Sow this week to go with Ryou but I wanted to ask a few questions to make sure I don't make any mistakes at all with her, Ryou and my bonded boars.

Basically, my plan is to put Matthew and Romano, my bonded boars on top of a table and have Ryou and the Sow under the table on the floor. This should stop her scent bothering them I have read on here?

But my questions are more to do with play time.

When I clean the guinea pigs out, I either put them in a run I have or let them run around the room. Obviously I am unsure if this is still a possibility? I could block off Ryou and his wife's cage on the bottom so Matthew and Romano can't see her. Would this help? Or should I let Mattie and Ro only in the run and Ryou and sow wife have the run of the room when I clean them out?

Also, if you could let me know of any other precautions to take this would be awesome. I just want to make sure I do everything right and don't upset my bonded boars relationship. They are extremely close to one another and Matthew has lived with females (not in their cage) in the past because the rescue I got him from said he was abandoned with two but they weren't pregnant.
 
Hi we have group of a neutered boar and his wife piggies above the we have a pair of boars. also we have another pair of boars in the same room, and a single boar also. We have a routine that we always give the boars first crack of everything, feeding, cleaning and run time. this seems to work for us as we have never had any problems with the boys..:D

The photo below shows one of our recent lay-outs as described above.. although it has changed considerably since this photo was taken, but the upper cage still has the two boars with ground level mixed group.. x

Thank you so much Ali! That helps a lot. I'll make sure to do everything with Mattie and Ro first.

When cleaning them out do you recommend I use the same pen or not? I can keep the pen for Mattie and Ro and the floor for Ryou and Misses if its easier on the boys.
 
Is Ryou and wife's cage going to have a divide in it until he is neutered (and 6 weeks after of course)?
 
She will be in my room so she gets used to me while Ryou is going to be neutered and the 6 weeks after. :) This gives her time to get used to me, the house and surroundings. ^_^

We use the same run indoors, as its on a wooden floor, we just give it a spray and wipe with Johnsons - " Clean 'n' Safe, ready for the next lot.. ;)
