They are recently new. They are really cuddly so do you think they are happy and joyful noises?

i just saw on your other post that you only got them yesterday.
It really is best to let them settle into their new environment for at least a few days before handling them, even if they do appear to be be used to being handled.

Hi!

Shivering when held usually means fear. Without hearing the squeaking we can unfortunately not comment. Generally it is a good sign that your little one is talking as that means that it is not gone into 'unresponsive predator play thing' mode (one of the prey animal behaviours).

Please take the time to read these guides below. They will help you to understand how becoming a pet looks for the guinea pig and how you can use their own body language to invite them into your group and make them feel welcome.
Is your piggy an only piggy or do they have a much needed companion, which is the biggest species need for guinea pigs and best thing ever you can do for your piggy?

Pick them up together in this case but make sure that they can't blind jump. Use a cardboard box or tunnel for transport and follow our piggy whispering and lap time tips on how to get fearful piggies used to being with you. Be patient! Trust is a tender plant that needs to make deep roots first before it can grow.
