Any ideas how to get rid of sore throats? My brother gave me this stupid cold and I feel like poo :(

I don't mind sneezing/runny nose but my throat hurts soooo much.

Thanks :-\

Jane

yup make up a smoothie with ginger/apple/lemon and orange and drink it,the ginger burns the dore throat away O0

and it does work..Ive had one from town when I had a sore throat and it went within half an hour

or....keep drinking lotsa really cold milk,it lines the throat O0

for a half hour quick relief warm milk does the trick..but only for a little while I'm afraid

Get well soon I had that the other day my throat drove me mad I just wanted to curl up and sleep! Now my little one has it and is driving me nuts!

I suck soothers as they taste of blackcurrant or strawberry.

But anyway; GET WELL SOON O0

vinegar is a good remedy for lots of things.
If I'm right sore throats is one of the things that it can be used for.
Well i used my finger:)

Freshly squeezed lemon, very hot water (as hot as you can stand it) and loads of runny honey. It tastes yummy and honey is a natural antiseptic O0

There is a throat spray which is called Chloraseptic which is like an anaesthetic for your throat, you spray it on about 4 times a day I think and it has the effect of numbing your throat brilliantly.

It doesn't taste wonderful (what does) but really works and when you've got a killer throat it's worth putting up with a few seconds of a bad taste for the long lasting effects. ;)

both me and debbie lost our voices a few weeks ago and I tried gargling with TCP, tastes ugh but did seem to numb it

when i was under 12 i had some really nice tasting medicine but now it all tastes horrible and i don't know why but i hate tablets!

The best way to get rid of a sore throat is to gargle (careful not to swallow) with warm salt water. Works every time. Do it three times a day and it will be gone within 2 or three days.

Also Asda do a lovely tea: lemon, ginger and mango. Its yummy and really helps to soothe it.

I hope you're feeling better
xx
