Hi all,
I've noticed that my guinea pig's heel's seem to be sore is this normal as I have seen other piggies with sore heel's! 98) 98)

Yes, my piggies often get sore heels,it seems to be a fairly common problem whatever bedding you use.I use vet bed all the time now.I used to use newspapaer and hay.The incidence has dropped since using the vets beds. The soreness is due to urine scold, they pee then walk through it or sometimes sit in the puddle. When the pads look a bit red,put either Bepanthen or similar for babies nappy rash. This is soothing and will form a barrier against the urine. You can apply the cream up to 3 times a day.Wash and thoroughly dry the pads before applying the cream.

well i didn't know that, i also have a couple who have sore heels will try that, wow this forum has got so many good tip bits ;D
