Sore from boar glue patch

Poor Pringle had a huge patch (2p sized) of boar glue on his chest/ armpit, I tried to see if I could get a clippers under it but could not get it off, he has managed to pull it off bless him but it has broken the skin slightly.
I have cleaned it with some cooled boiling water on a cotton pad, is there anything else I should do? Clean it regularly?
Does he need to go to the vets tomorrow?

Ooh sausage that does look sore. I've no experience with this so I'll have to leave it to someone else. Does it feel moist to the touch or dry? I'm just wondering if it's 'seeping' at all.

I don’t think it was seeping no, the picture was taken after I cleaned it so it does moist

It does, I can only assume Pringle was on the receiving end of some face humping poor thing! I had to cut a clump out of peppers face earlier this week too! Clearly he joys are spring are upon us!

Disinfect and see what happens; it looks like just the surface layer of the skin is affected.

Thanks, yes it does just look like a graze, he seems fine in himself!

I’m sure it will heal very soon, just check to make sure it’s not hot or weepy. It’s grim stuff, superglue springs to mind

His arm pit? It’s looking like a little scab, but no weeping, it’s not hot or red in the area, I did clean it with some antiseptic this morning and he didn’t even flinch, he is such a little trouper.
We are going away on Wednesday so I will have the boarder keep an eye on it!

Little update on the “waxed” armpit! It’s all healed and the fur is staring to grow back… I found a huge lump of glue on the fleece liner where the event clearly happened, I hope it will come off with a few washes!
