One of my piggies, Frances has got really red feet. They currently have a few different beddings in different parts of the shed, they have vetbed, woodshavings, hay, and a bit of the shed floor which is vinyl (I think?) just like a roll of flooring that is wipe clean. Are any of these wrong.? I’d struggle to put vetbed in the whole shed. Can I put anything on her feet?

Hi!

Have you checked whether Frances has just hot pink ears and feet? Guinea pigs regulate their body temperature via the increased blood flow, especially in these two areas.

Check whether you are using too much washing powder/soap or whether an extra rinse cycle may help.

Be careful with any creaming; too much or too thickly can dry out the skin and cause the tiny cracks through which bugs can get in; too soft skin on the soles also make the feet more susceptible to abrasions etc.
See whether other measures do help first.
