Hi all!
I have 3 rescues, one, cookie, is 6 years old but I noticed yesterday she had some soreness around her eye and some fur loss. I’m aiming to take her vets tomorrow however my pigs have just become a trio (I bonded them on the 1st and they’ve done very well together). I’m not sure whether to take cookie alone or to bring a mate with her? I can’t really take all 3 as I doubt they’ll fit okay in my cat carrier lol! 😂

My other girls are quite young and originally came together so I feel they’ll panic more if they are separated. However will cookie now struggle alone?

I’ve attached a pic of the eye just in case anyone has a clue what it is! I’m extra worried because of her age ! The picture is from yesterday but today it looks a bit bigger and darker.

I don't know how to help with the eye problem, but I can talk about my experience with vet trips (I have a female trio too!).
I always try to carry them all together, each one in a respective transport crate, because I feel that this makes the sick pig much calmer. Especially in cases where the visit may take a long time. But I've also had episodes where I've had to take only one of them. In my experience so far, they haven't lost their bond at all (this only happened to me when one of my sows had to be isolated from the others for a week because of a respiratory infection).
So I would try to take all three, but if that wasn't possible, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
