Last night when I brought my two old Boers in for there cuddle time, I noticed some brown/dark lumps on my oldest Boers penis, the other nights I had been it I simply thought it has some poo that would rub off, since it was still there I decided to try and get it off (as it may have dried on), to my dismay, instead of falling off it pulled out. It seems to be in a hole other than the peni dect (normal hole), and there are two others just showing their heads. I looked things like it up and thought it could be caused by an impaction, but I've just cleaned that and it hasn't made a difference (adding photos)I've also cleaned the area around it. I can't seem to find anything online about it, and I don't think it a worm as it doesn't move and doesn't look like any I've seen before. Can anyone help me, please?
(If your wondering whats he's in, I cut a hole in a plastic container so that he could feel secure and I could still look at it.)

Tonight, he has also not been eating like usual, I've gotten him to eat some dandelions, and a bit of a tomato, but not that much.

Little guy looks like he has a ‘cauliflower’ willy (basically one that looks frilly and is a little more out than your normal one). As a result when your boy is moving about etc the skin is going to collect dirt/poo etc.
My Lunk has this and he also gets brown marks or as you have described and it is just where poo and dirt has got stuck to the skin. I give it a wash wash but don’t tend to try and remove it because the skin down there is quite delicate

In regards to the eating, I would step in with syringe feeding and try to find a vet

I would start by looking carefully at this guide to boar bits
Boar Care: Bits, Bums & Baths

Hopefully that will help and maybe start with a gentle bum bath (also covered in the thread above).
Switch to daily weighing at the same time, and if he is loosing weight then please make a vet appointment asap to have him properly checked over.

Thank you very much! I will keep an eye on it, and if it gets any worse/if she doesn't start eating again I will take to vet!

Hi!
Can you please try to extend the penis fully so you can see better what is going on?
Boar Care: Bits, Bums & Baths (see Boar Care guide for pictures of how to)
If your boy seems off, please switch from weighing once weekly to weighing daily at the same time in order to monitor the food intake and stepping in with feeding support as soon and as much as needed promptly. Please see a vet as soon as your boy has lost more than 50g in just a few days and urgently if he loses more than 50g over 24 hours.
You can find all information for emergencies and emergency care via this helpful link here; you may want to bookmark it: Emergency, Crisis and Bridging Care until a Vet Appointment
If you can't, please see a vet. We cannot tell you what is going on. All kinds of things can fetch up or build up in the penis shaft.

In the second picture you can see the build-up of smegma and some hair sticking out at the front. You penis looks a bit prolapsed (not retracted into the shaft as it should but not fully extended?

Please have your boy checked by a vet as soon as you can get an appointment if he is off his food.

@Wiebke , I was wondering if possibly the dark thing the OP is worried about is a penis prong? In their last photo I can see a dark spot opposite it which looks like it is on the tip of something , so maybe the other prong?
(I'm using my phone though, so picture isn't the clearest)

ok, thank you. He has not gone off his food completely and has started eating again this morning. I seem to be unable to extend the penis, its like its not there.

I would recommend to have that penis checked; it looks like the skin that is normally fixed in the shaft has dropped out and is bagging the penis.

Ouch, not seen anything similar really (I’m not an expert but my Jasper has ‘cauliflower willy’ and my past boar did too). I’d definitely get him into the vets and get it looked at like said above.
I tend to check Jasper’s bits daily as he’s quite prone to getting hair and hay trapped, my other boar Luigi is always getting hay stuck too.
Hope your little man carries on eating well but definitely a good idea to get a vet appt booked ASAP.

Thank you, we are getting him checked in to a vet tomorrow when they are open!

Hope it goes well :) Looks pretty sore poor chap! Older boars do tend to get a bit lazier, or just can’t manage cleaning themselves as well as when they were younger.
My boar Rupert, left on my avatar, was nearly 7 when he passed away, he gave up grooming himself as well at about 5, and he was all white! So he could’ve had something trapped and not managed to clean it etc, hopefully something easily treatable for him!

What’s his name?! Think a face pic needed too after all these embarrassing ones! :))

I agree. Please have him vet checked just to make sure everything is ok x
Thank you, will get him to vets ASP!

Yes thank you! His name if Floss, but we tend to nickname him flossy or fussy. He will be 7 on Feb 8th and this is the first real health problem we have had with him (other then the ear infection the other month.)

Aw he’s lovely  I love oldies  Not long til his piggy birthday celebrations then 🥳:D
Really hope that the vet can sort it out for gorgeous Flossy quickly then, let us know how it goes! x

I have just brought my boy back from the vet, and he is all clear! the dark object picking out turned out to be some very dry smegma which was protruding from the glad, the vet took it out and said its nothing to worry about and will just need to be cleaned and taken out every so often/whenever it appears. he is also eating better again and to try to increase his weight I am putting him on a high calory diet! Thank you again to everyone that has given advice other this matter, and I hope this thread helps anyone else with there piggys.

Aah that’s great news, so pleased he’s ok and it’s gone! :) Porridge oats are great for older piggies to keep their weight up or to help pigs gain it, mine all love them! With a bit of grated sweet potato or carrot/apple occasionally too, definitely goes down well with lots of pigs on the forum!
