I have two Guinean pigs that don’t get along so they have to be separated but the cages are next to eachother so they have company but I’m changed the bedding for each cage every week so it stays clean and stuff and it’s taking more money than k thought to do two cages every week and so I know if you can’t take proper care you should i give them away but all the places are pretty full and my guinea pigs have pretty much everything they need and I can’t do the fleece iv already tried many times but I can’t clean it everyday so there’s not really a solution to my problem I guess and also roaches keep coming in my room more since I’ve gotten guinea pigs but I keep the Guinea pig food sealed and all their cardboard stuff sealed too so I’m going to try putting lemons in my room sense it’s ok for the guinea pigs to smell and the roaches don’t like the smell

What bedding are you currently using? Is there an alternative you could try which maybe isn’t as expensive?

You can buy reusable, washable puppy pads which you could lay down as a base in the cage and then just top the whole thing with hay. Obviously wet hay still needs to be removed every day (but that’s no different other beddings - wet areas still need to be removed every day with a full cage clean once a week) but using reusable puppy pads may help remove some of the constant cost of bedding.

Iv been using pine wood and cedar wood and sometimes paper but I just found out paper bedding is better because it makes less of and Oder and has less dust and is softer for them I guess I’ll start using only paper bedding
