Looking for a travel cage for the boys as we will be travelling over Christmas and came across some new in cages on PAH. All absolutely terrible! Will they ever offer anything suitable?!
The concerning thing is that they appear to be getting smaller!
I’m tempted to contact them on social to see what they have to say about these!

That's terrible. It makes me so sad to think some poor piggies will live in those awful cages 😥

That first cage is about the same size as my hospital cage that I only ever put 1 piggie in who has restricted movement after an operation and then only for a couple of days while I'm observing the amount of food/hay/water intake. And poops/wee output I would never have more than 1 piggie in it for any longer than was absolutely necessary.

And that’s all that they should ever be used for! And they also advertise it for rabbits too! It’s such a shame and so frustrating.

That first one obviously is poor for guinea pig welfare, but would a rabbit not become unable to use its legs properly after a while in that small a space.

That’s awful.
To say they are suitable for rabbits is definitely not right. That first one comes to 8 square feet….rabbits need a minimum of 12 square feet in a hutch which is never closed and leads into a total of 60 square feet….. and yes the lack of height would give a rabbit back problems

Makes me so angry that there is nothing stopping them from doing this, and miss leading people!

🤬🤬🤬 to all three cages but if you think these a bad (and they are) have a look at the dire cages on eBay cheap Chinese imports some as small as 58 cm length wise and lots of inappropriate “skyscrapers” I’ve contacted ebay about these cages but nothing is very done. I wish there was some way of enforcement?C29A58F4-E74A-4C25-958E-3E96D4F8E6A4.webpB55A96B1-1453-4317-90B1-0E605A1D408C.webp

It's so awful. I sometimes leave reviews where possible stating the welfare issue.

I was thinking about going that but you have to put your email in and I didn’t want to get told off for false reviews! It’s so frustrating though!

I've never been told off for reviews. Though years ago I did buy one of those cages and use it briefly. I did tell a woman in PAH that what the staff were saying wasn't right about the piggies and cage they were looking to buy, just got a look from staff member. Hopefully the petitions that go round about small cages will eventually reach the awareness of parliament, animal welfare is better than it used to be.
