As some of you may know we recently have bought a second hand cage from gumtree for the piggies to travel in, well we collected it yesterday it is bigger than we thought it would be lol, Its this one less the accessories:

The actual base size is ok, but the top part is really tall for what we need and its going to be very awkward to put in and out of the car and to store aswell.....

Does anyone have any ideas as to how we can change/adjust the top....? Or of anything we could use instead?

Does it not fold flat for storage? all of my cages can be wrestled flat ...

as for for getting it in the car ... do you have a 3dr corsa in petrol blue (I think that was you?) if so hahahahahahahahaha good luck! Sorry not helpful I know :-P
 
Yep that is me! And OH has an astra 2 door hatchback!

No it wont flat pack :(
 
I have nothing to practical offer this thread, just wanted to ask for some Scrummy pigtures? How's Minnie also x
 
I could fit a zz1 in my old car, smaller than a corsa but was 5 door so was easy. Can fit a 60x40 cage in and out of my 3 door corsa backseat easily too but much bigger and it would be a wrestle me thinks ... good luck!
 
Yes we have a 60 x 40 now and its easy enough, its just the height of the new cage that is the issue really, think i might sell it and keep an eye out for a new one...

Sorry Lee/Rach, i dont have any other photo's of them as our camera has been doing silly things it shouldn't, so the last ones are our holiday ones which i think you've seen?

Minnie is doing really well thanks, they have all been much better behaves since scrummy joined, unless its just me? But she seems to have calmed them down, even though she is quite quiet herself. xx

She is obviously a calming influence! Yes saw your holiday thread, great pigtures! Glad Minnie is getting along well x
 
What is it that makes it difficult getting it in and out of the car? Could you put the back seats down? I have a small car and find that moving the front seats forwards, putting whatever on the back seats, then moving the front seats back again can make it easier to fit things in.

I managed to get two liberta 150cm cages in my tiny fiesta, with the assistance of Sodapop's OH, and got the boot shut as well!
