Luckily I haven't encountered this yet but was thinking what would be best If/when a visit to the vet is needed.

The question is, if one of a pair of piggies needs medical care and the other is fine, do you:

A- separate the piggies leaving buddy at home, whilst sick goes for vet trip

Or

B - keep them together for the visit, avoiding separation anxiety.

Which is the least stressful for the pair as a whole?

Hopefully this isn't a silly question.

Nothing is a silly question 🙂 I always take both piggies even if only one needs checking over. I think it’s a comfort for both of them.

At first I took both but on recent visits I have only took one, the reason for this is that Pepper is a bit of a pain in the carrier and climbs all over is brother Pringle, Pringle isn’t a big fan of travelling and our last two trips have been with Pepper so we have just took him, and not stressed Pringle out. Our vets is literally 5 mins away though so we are never gone long!

Hi

It is generally better to take a 'paw holding' companion for moral support if possible.
I only don't take any companions if there are other considerations like a fragile bond/disruptive companion etc., or if I am taking a piggy for pts/euthanasia or for an operation where I have been specifically asked not to bring a companion.
