I got two boars almost 3 years ago as babies together, they did not get along and one bit the other causing awful abscess. So since then I kept them separate but side by side so they had plenty of interaction together. Last night one of my boars died very suddenly and now I'm left with just Han. He has not been castrated and I don't really want to do it to him as he already had 2 operations from his multiple abscesses.
What advice can anyone give me?
Should I get another boar, or do adult boars just not bond? I wouldn't mind getting a young one but then I feel it's going to be a never ending cycle as probably Han will die first and I'll need to get another boar etc - i'd rather them be similar age but unsure if you can bond adults.

I know lots of rescues in the UK offer boar dating, so you can take Han along and they will help you find him a friend.
Maybe look one up in the rescue locator.

I am sure others with more experience will reply too, but I am fairly certain that adult boars can bond, and any rescue would be happy to have an experience piggy home to work with.

don't really think there's any THAT close to me. the only one that is a decent distance only offers sow bonding...hmm.
