Hi.. it seems like Rose has a tummy upset as her output is out of shape and soft. I understand that the first course of action is to remove all veg. Question is, do I do this for all piggies given that 4 of them live together ( the rest have normal output as I cleaned the cage and just checked where each had been resting for the morning, so I’m pretty sure it’s just rose)? Or should I still try to feed the others thier veg, and if so how do I do this without Rose?

Hmm. When I’ve had to stop veg (bear in mind I only have two), I’ve always taken both piggies off it. If you could hand feed then maybe you could take just her off them.

Hi!

The others can still have veg. Just take Rosie out of the cage during the veg meal and give her a few extra pellets or fresh hay instead.
See a vet if the poos don't firm up very noticeably within 24 hours of being off veg and you are not dealing just with a mild tummy upset (overgrowth of the wrong kind of bacteria in the gut microbiome); taking the veg out means no nutrients for the bad bacteria and helps the normal microbiome to take over again. Restart any fresh food slowly with just a little fresh herb in the first meal and then by adding one more veg with the next too. Stop and re-trench as soon as the poos go soft again. Some piggies do have a more sensitive digestion than others.
