How long ago was he unwell?
Have you been weighing him daily to monitor adequate hay intake?
Has he been syringe fed?
It would be a good idea to remove veg from his diet and ensure he is getting enough fibre either through independent hay intake or with critical care feedings.
This is where the weight checks are vital.
If the poop is diarrhea like then yes he does need a vet check as severe diarrhea is considered an emergency.
