Hello,
I have two female piggies who get their usual veggies, hay, pellets, and water. However for a few days they were receiving new veggies and I got them a new carrot hay treat. Ever since then I have been seeing a few spots where it looks like one of them had diarrhea or soft pooped squished around. They are a lot of solid poops around the cage and in their liter box. They drink water and eat like normal.

Any ideas? Should I call my vet? I am not sure which piggie it is or if it is both.

Hi!

In the case of soft poops, please stop feeding any fresh food for a day or two until all poos have firmed up again for at least 24-48 hours. See a vet if milder problems return or persist.
When introducing new foods, please do so in a small amount at first as part of a mix for 2-3 times in gradually larger quantities so the gut microbiome has time to adjust and is able to cope. Some piggies react more sensitive to new foods than others.

If you are dealing with runny diarrhea, please see a vet ideally within 24 hours; if the diarrhea is really bad (basically just smelly water), as an out of hours emergency as quickly as possible because of the risk of dehydration.
