Hey guys, it's been a while.
So, we still haven't been able to make enough room in the apartment to get a second piggy, but she seems happy. She didn't seem to be very social when we got her, and she entertains herself constantly. She'll popcorn when we're not playing with her, even. Anyway, she seems pleased in her space (we've managed to at least make her cage bigger with a c&c) but I'm worried about how anti-social she seems to be.
She actually seems to love me, and treat me like you guys have said guinea pigs treat each other. (She'll sniff my nose, she'll curl up to me, she'll barber me, etc...) When I start wheeking she'll wheek with me!
When I first got her, I started playing videos of guinea pigs and let her listen to them wheek and chirp. Recently though, she is becoming more and more unaffected by the real guinea pigs, and more and more affected by me pretending to be one.
If we were to somehow gain an extra square foot of apartment, do you think this behavior will destroy her chances of being able to socialize normally with other piggies? Will it just come to her naturally, or will she be violently against the idea of having a friends of the same species?
I know this is long and took a while to get to the point, but I'm a little worried...
Help.
