Pigalig
Junior Guinea Pig
When I bought this cute fluffball of sticky out hair, the breeder propped him on a podium and clearly stated that this 6 week old had been well trained and habituated in grooming, and knows to sit still when being brushed.
This was all fine, until Dylan the Peruvians hair grew past 'shoulder length', and suddenly he decided this grooming process was not what it was cracked up to be, and now hops around the dresser, chirping and squeaking whenever I go near him with a brush. This may be a soft brush, or a plastic spaced out tong one. It could be a feather for all he cares, he's not having any of it.
I'm assuming this is because if ever there's a knot, it pulls his skin so is uncomfortable, but he's brushed every day and there very rarely is any tension, so he's just being silly really. Didn't know if anyone had any advice on how to make it more enjoyable?
P.s he doesn't accept food when its being done, so can't bribe him that way, and even just sitting quietly on my lap for a while beforehand doesn't make a difference
