and I haven't :tickedoff:

I don't even know any one who has a one of them numbers :tickedoff:

If I have a company query I use the Internet for it :tickedoff:

Grrr!

ooohh they cost - think one of our telephone banking is one of them numbers? Or am I wrong?

I always check first on the saynoto0870 website to see if there's an alternative landline before I call an 0870 number. Nine times out of 10 there's a cheaper number to call O0

But I don't use them - I don't do phone banking or anything :tickedoff: I just haven't used them at all. I only use the phone for quick calls, but not to those numbers :tickedoff:

I just don't like being accused of things I don't do - always gets my back right up..

You could always use the website to put the number in - if it's on the database it will tell you the company name. Maybe you could narrow it down to who it is then? :-\

that's a great idea

:tickedoff: Do Sky? That will explain it then. Hubster was phoning to get the package knocked down a few month back and he said they were faffing about so told them to just cancel it. he was pretty peeved at being passed about and on hold. That's why the phone bill was higher than normal. I hate companies, big corporate comapanies that have so much money that they still have to bleed yuou dry. Heard something about BT charging £4.50 if you don't pay your bills by direct debit. Don't quote me on that - I may have been snoozing!

yeah i think Sky is 0870 24040 something or other
i know our phone bill when we called them was huge

Don't know if this has anything to do with it but it might help you. This is what it says on my BT online Bill

If you made any calls to 0844, 0845 and some 0870 numbers between 11th August and 7th November 2006, you won't have been billed for these calls due to a system error. The cost of these calls will now appear on your next bill. We have now resolved the error and hope this hasn't caused you any inconvenience
