SO EXCITED!🐹

Oooh, snap, I've just got one of these for my new piggies. It's very simple to put together, well made and looks great. My only caveat is that I also bought the large guinea pig house and I would say that takes up too much of the cage so have sidelined it and switched to fleece cubes instead. I am using a fleece liner, washable puppy pads and a plastic sheet in an effort to protect the wood (paranoid, moi?): seems to be working well so far.

What size did you go for? I went for the 150cm x 60cm just hoping its big enough🙈 I didnt go for the house just because of the price, Ill need to find something that wont take up too much room! Whats fleece cubes?

Thanks! Have you any photos of your cage? I'm hoping its big enough but I'm the same, only had room for the 150cm! Do you still put them in a run or anything?

I’ll try to remember photos tomorrow. I’ve only had my piggies for ten days so haven’t done a proper floor time yet. I bought 20 C&C grids off eBay to construct an indoor run. I’m hoping that if I use cable ties to join the grids it’ll fold flat and fit behind the sofa when not being used.
 
That is a posh cage,piggies will be very happy !you could line the bottom of the cage with lino,so that moisture does not seep through the wood,will be much easier to clean !
 
Awk I got excited when I saw they do gerbil cages. But they don't really seem suitable.

The selection of gerbil cages is kinda of awful

There you go, taken during breakfast this morning! The cage roof is half open, which is a useful feature for spot cleaning and topping up food. Babs currently has her fleece cube inside the house minus the roof: she wasn't best pleased when the two were switched so I'm trying a transition phase. Rhonda sleeps in the Haypigs circus tent.

How long did it take to build? Mine has just arrived & hoping to build it tonight depending on how long it takes🙈 So excited though😁

It just takes a few minutes with a screwdriver: easier if you have another person so he/she can hold one piece while you screw the other to it.
