Morning all,

My guineas are in the Bluebell PAH outdoor hutch this winter, having been moved outside whilst we do some building works (we have moved into a static caravan, really no room for guineas....).

They are all wrapped up with a thermal cover, waterproof cover and lots of hay, but I'd like to get them some snugglesafes as well. Has anyone seen any good deals on them?

Also, I have two guineas with a few more brain cells than the others. They go upstairs into the 'bedroom' bit and bury themselves in the hay, whilst the other two stay downstairs frantically squeaking for the climbing two (there is plenty of hay and shelter downstairs). Will one snugglesafe be enough for two guineas to share (one for the upstairs lot and one for the downstairs lot) or should I be looking at 4 so each guinea can have their own?

Thanks.

I brought mine on amazon for a good price. I rarely use them anymore as my piggies are now indoor but when I had outdoor piggies, I found that the piggies used to love to lie / sit on top of the snugglesafes so they were really only big enough for one to use at a time. Having said that, I had four pigs at the time and just use to give two snugglesafes and they would share as I also had plenty of fleecy snugglesacks and cosies. It all depends on what you want for your piggies :)

I also have the bluebell hutch
they aren’t really big enough for two piggies to sit on if you’re piggies aren’t the cuddling up to each other type!
My piggies are boys and not snuggly with each other, and given they are boys, I am very careful about making sure there is no reason for them to have a fall out so they have a bed and a snugglesafe each! I put a snuggle under their bendy log huts in the bedroom end of the hutch (two log huts fit in there side by side). They have a fleece which the log huts sit on and then the excess fleece gets folded over the roof of the log huts and down the front a little way to make a curtain. I find that this traps the heat from the pads within the log huts and keeps my boys warmer for longer.
I am also probably going to get a couple more snugglesafes for downstairs as well.
I got mine from amazon as they were a lot cheaper than I have seen in pet shops.

Thanks both. I have 3 girls and a neutered boy, he's very snuggly with them all but the girls are more picky! Looks like I'll be getting 4 then. Good idea re the bendy log huts though Piggies&buns, I may borrow that for my herd.

Amazon here I come!
