I already have a snugglesafe heat pad which my girls share. I went ahead and brought a second one last night. Both girls love the snugglesafe and curl up on it. At the minute, they have a snugglesafe at about 9 or 10pm so it lasts throughout the night when the weather gets colder. What I was thinking of doing was still give them the one snugglesafe at night and then when it is really cold during the day, give them the other one before I leave for work so that they have one during the day too. Does this sound like a good idea?

Also, is one snugglesafe enough for 2 small piggies or should they have one each? I really brought the second one so that I'm not constantly reheating the same one. Also, the one that I put in at night is sometimes still slightly warm when I take it out in the morning.

They are outdoor piggies.

I am planning on getting a snugglesafe but not sure whether to get one or two don't want to start any fights!

I have a snuggle safe for my 2 pigs and they share it but then again Ping is only 4 weeks old... I think its a good idea to have 2 and heat up one for the day because in the winter days are cold too. But maybe someone else will chime in that has done this. I only heat it at night because my pigs are in a workshop and have a heat emitter as well in their cage. I wish I could have them inside but I have bad allergies. argh!

I'll be watching this post to see what others think. Good question to ask!

Our piggie numbers are back up to three now Claire, so they each have a snugglesafe at night. Not a bad idea that you have suggested, warming one for the day time too, I would definatley do that. Charlotte has had a little sow, called her Poppy, she is in with Rosie. They seem to be getting along ok. Although she has come into season today and is chasing poor Rosie around, until she gets nipped at.rolleyes. It has led me to double check she is definatley a sow.

I just put the snugglesafe in the piggies cage and there was massive popcorning! They are so cute getting excited about snugglesafe. :) I will get another one when Ping is a bit bigger. For now they like to share.

Aww I'm so pleased you are back up to 3 piggies. Poppy and Rosie's behaviour sounds very much like Eleanor and Eliza's when they were first introduced rolleyes
