Snugglesafe Heat Pad Questions

Hi

Today I bought Oreo a Snugglesafe heat pad, since it's been getting a lot colder and he's not been feeling too well. He is housed inside, but I can't have the heating on constantly for him. If you're wondering, I got my head pad off of Amazon for £13.99 but I also got £5 off because it was my first Prime Now purchase.

I have read all of the instruction leaflets, already, but I was looking for some advice on how best to use it. How would I put it in Oreo's cage without burning him?

I put mine in the microwave for 8 mins at 800 w oven and hide it under more fleece

i place mine in microwave for 8 mins,ensure cover is in place,place a cardboard box in sleeping area,put newpaper in cardboard box,vet bed on top of newspaper,then place covered heatpad on top of vet bed,put piggies inside box,then stuff hay on top of heat pad but in card board box.i do have some cozies which allow an area to insert heat pad in,then guinea pigs can enter sack as they choose.x

I have been leaning against the back of the cage (but still inside) in Oreo's bendy bridge, so he stays warms and can snuggle up to it, if he wants.

I have placed mine under a layer of fleece on the bottom of the bedroom area and then placed a fleece cosy on top. Stays warm for hours.
