Snuggle safe in cage causing a rumpus ! Oh dear

After buying a snugglesafe at £22 I put it in to the cage with my 2 boars to keep them cosy during the cold nights . Within 2 minutes of it being in the cage my two happy boars were squaring up for a fight ! I swiftly removed it and life went on as normal for them as if nothing had happened ! Any ideas why ? I wondered if it was because they thought it was another guinea !

It might be because they both want to use it, but do not want to use it together. Boars especially tend to need to have two of everything so they can claim as their own. They may have not liked the smell if it came in packaging, it might be worth keeping it in your living room or wherever you spend the most time so that your smell can carry on to it, so they associate it with you.

It's quite likely that they were fighting over it.

Thanks Flips .... I already bought another one for my lone bore who sadly lost his cage mate / brother just before Xmas so spent £44 ( shhhhh ! ) . I wish I'd known about them being cheaper on amazon. My wee lone old man doesn't sit on his but snuggles up near it .... From his point of view it's been a good buy and at least I know he is cosy at night.
