Snowy troubles again! Help!

Well, coming home from work yesterday, i found Snowy and Chip had had a massive fight, blood was drawn, chip had bite marks and blood on his fur and Snowy had quite a bad ear gash. as a temporary measure, i divided their cage in two using 2 spare grids, until i could work out something more permanent today. I went downstairs this morning to find Chip huddled in the corner of his section of the cage and Snowy in Chips house, he had managed to jump over the grid partition and get to poor Chip, who had fresh bites this morning 8...

So, this is the third! paring that Snowy has fallen out from. He spent a good 3 weeks living with Nacho until they fell out, with Snowy being the aggressor, then he lived with Flash for almost 2 months till they fell out, and now, he has lived with Chip for around 2 months and now all of a sudden they have fallen out too! I don't know what is going on, i've never had this before! I have gone all the usual bonding routes, including bathing, but it just means i now will have 6 single boars! 8... I don't know what is happening after a few months of happy pairing to make it go wrong! mallethead mallethead

My advice is in no way helpful, Boys make me say bad words. I'll just Bleep them out .

I'm sorry, Snowy is causing so much trouble, some pigs don't want friends. Although he would more than likely hit it off with a female. I would assume he is never going to get on with chip especially now.

Can you not pair Chip with another single pig?

How old are the pigs in question?!

Snowy is about 8 months and Chip is around 2.

Snowy is weird, he seems like he loves other pigs and gets all excited around them, but it doesn't last, he seems to fall in and out of love pretty quickly |)

Chip used to live with Fudge until they had a big falling out. I think i shall have to try pairing Chip with little gold next. Although they have all met before at floor time, the ones that didn't get on, just kept out of each others way.

It seems i have just got 7 very dominant boars.

I have thought about getting Snowy done and getting him a wife, but would she send all the other boys crazy?
I would love to get all my single boys done and get them all wives, but as they are all aged 2-4, they are too old for the op.
If only i had found the forum when i first got my boys.......

A wife can make boys fallout but since no one is friends it shouldn't matter so much but you could keep them in a different room from the other boys.

Awwwwww i feel your pain I have 2 boys and Boris is so happy to be with Travis but Travis hates him. He nips him and chatters at him. Ive got them in 2 seperate homes now x

Aww, I love hearing all these stories, but sorry to hear your piggies have been fighting. I can't believe how guinea pigs have such a personality. I'm learning lots about the little tikes.
