well they got it right ! lots of white snow, didn't start snowing around here until 5ish this morning.
spent the morning listening to radio for the schools that were closing, seems like one half of the city closing the other not. my lad wasn't happy that his school was still open >
i just hope that the schools have cleared and gritted, last year my lad slipped on ice in school as they were going in to pe block and ended up in hospital for emergency opp on his arm and then had to have two weeks of school, they couldn't cope with normal ice dread to think what today will be like.
i will be annoyed if they send them home early and don't makesure they get home safely, at secondary there doesn't seem to be the concern for the kids. couple of months back my lads taxi didn't turn up and he had no one to turn to and walked home and he lives a long way from school and had never walked anywhere on his own before.
i was impressed with him but not the school or taxis, anything could have happened, hes autistic, adhd and has a major anxiety problem. why do they not realise that secondary children are still kids and need protecting......i give him freedom but i like to know where my son is. the school couldn't see the problem but this is the problem with mainstream schools that don't understand the kids with special needs. not the teachers faults but the education system....
moan moan moan, think I'm ready to start my day now
hope you all have a good day and that all your outdoor piggies are cosy and safe
