Sniffing question?

Just out of curiosity. I sometimes see my guinea pig Ludwig sort of sniffing Gilbert's neck or nuzzling it or something.
He sort of lightly presses his face/nose to my other guinea pigs neck and... thats it.
Does it mean anything? I think its cute.

It's a snuggly thing. I've seen it done by lower down the pecking order piggies to higher up piggies mostly - you're in charge and I love you!

It's reassurance as well, comforting for a baby piggie who will also do this into their mummy's neck. I think it's sweet!

Awww thats really cute! Ludwig was the dominant but Gil's been humpy lately so the order may have changed.
