I have two guinea pigs and one is sneezing a lot for quite a while. I first noticed her sneezing more about a month ago! I watched her closely. Her lungs sound clear and she is acting her normal self. Today i was holding her and she sneezed a few times and I noticed green discharge coming from her nose! She is still acting her normal self and her lungs still sound clear! This past fall she had pneumonia but with meds it cleared up well. She is constantly flipping to tipping their dish over and likes to dig through the shavings for food. I was using a paper pine mix but switched to all paper when I noticed her sneezing the first time. The vet was such an ass the last time I went with them. He seems to know a lot but doesn’t seem to care for the animals themselves... I’m hesitant to take her because he is an ass and because we are new to him so I don’t trust him as much and I would hate to have her catch something there. She isn’t acting sick but I’m definitely worried about her. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Sneezing with discharge means she does need to be checked by a vet. She may be acting normal but as prey animals piggies hide their illnesses, it doesn’t mean she is well.
If you don’t get on with your current vet, then perhaps try to find a new one, but your piggy does need to see a vet.
