Hi I hope this isn’t a dumb question but as piggy parents we can’t help but get worried about the littlest of things. I have two girls, both 15 months old. When I got them they both had awful URIs that turned into pneumonia and I honestly am thankful I was able to save them.
Anyways, they had their fair share of issues and things after months of antibiotics but have been cleared and great since around April. Only recently, one has started sneezing. Not overly consistent and there aren’t any other symptoms such as low energy, not eating, crusty eyes, etc. she seems healthy. My concern is that there is sometimes a bit of snot that comes out and I never noticed it on my other girl when she sneezes. I guess what I am wondering is, is snot at any amount something to worry about? It normally is like a soft/wet booger and is white in color. She has them once or twice a week. I haven’t changed anything in her environment to cause this either so I don’t know if maybe just the dryer season is causing it or what?
Looking forward to your thoughts. Thank you

It could be that she has an irritation in her nose (hay dust etc) but seeing a vet for a hands on check if you are concerned is always the best course of action.
I hope she is ok

Hi, if they have had issues in the past taking them to a vet would be a good just incase call...in terms of little things you could shake your hay out into a bag or box so the majority of the small bits and dust falls to the bottom before giving it to them...this was a massive thing for my piggies and stopping using sawdust...bathmats seem to be a wonder for ours...I hope your piggies are doing well and so are you...it is ok to worry about your piggies it just shows you care about them
