Had some bonding time today with Gino and Fred.

Fred definitely the more confident piggy and he even took some dried apple slice from our hands today we were sooo happy. Gino is still very skittish, while he did come have a sniff at our hands he is still very shy.

Aware there is hay everywhere, these boys really love making a mess.. so much so they have managed to propel some guinea pig bowel nuggets outside of their cage in there mad zoomies that happens precisely between 4 and 4:30 pm and 9 and 9:30pm

Their poop corner was insane, must've been a full cup of bowel nuggies in one small area after just one night

Have you tried them with herbs yet? Most piggies find them irresistible and are quick to accept being fed by hand with them. Basil and parsley are the favourites in my house.

We give them coriander almost daily, we've given them basil too which seems to be a really big hit, not tried parsley yet.

We're I think about 4 full nights in so we're still taking things slow with them trying to earn their trust and show them that we mean no harm.

Pepper is a massive hit with them, they will literally go straight for any form of pepper we leave them as soon as we're out the room but the dried apple slices seemed to really get Fred to come out of his shell. We might try small amounts of fresh apple with him and see where that goes. Gino we still need to crack on what gets him ticking

I'm already amazed.. I know everyone says they are poop factories but these guys are more than that.. they are like nuclear powered poop factories. Oh my GOD. I'm glad they're not stinky and relatively easy to brush up, it's when you think you've done cleaning and suddenly you look around and there's still poop absolutely everywhere or you lift up a bed and give it a shake and there's enough poop to fertilise a field

Is that there faces as they watch you clean up enough poop that a villager would produce in a week. That looks of dominance like yes human, clean up my poop and then make sure to leave me some peppers and fresh hay or tomorrow there will be double

I cannot get over how gorgeous these little boys are, it is just a pure dopamine and serotonin rush when you've hand fed them. I've been an avid dog owner my entire life but oh my god guinea pigs have a different level of mood boost to them. They are my little preciouses (is that a word?)

I like the look of your wooden house (behind the log tunnel).....hope you don't mind me asking, but where did you get it from? I am on the look out for some wooden hidey's to have as spares/extra's at the moment, and it is not always easy to find something decent which we also like the look of.

I found a poop in my bra once! Not quite sure how it got there but there it was.

There is a reason why guinea pigs are called poop machines. They can poop for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales!
