What bedding set up do you current use? (this will help people suggest)

I swear by pampers disposable baby changing mats. Their great.

my boys make the room smell kind of sweet and foisty and musty is this similar to yours beth?

We have fleece and towel with newspaper at the moment, today i went and bought an air freshener but bought a gel one 'cause i guessed something that sprayed would be bad for them :)
Today at the pet shop i got given some paper pellet cat litter stuff so gonna try that :3

I found towel to be very smelly, matress protector works better for me. :) Its washed the same. I have the pampers pads benieth that and i find they do smell by day 4, but not before that. :)

HTH

to keep our cages from smelling, i have to change the weed on paper every day, and the hay as it is the wee i find stinks! a lot of work, but worth it to have a sweet smelling home !

would having a made up cage liner help keep smell better ? i'm getting a C&C cage soon so wouldn't mind getting one made up after that :)

From what people have said, i think so. But it has to be made up right, I bought cheap matress protectors so they urine just soaks through them eventually, meaning i need something below them. If you buy cotton topped water proof onces, then it wont soak through so nothing is needed below.

I may look up making my own as i attempted a cuddle cup last night and felt quite proud of myself !
I definitely will do some research into it, see how easy they are to make etc.

DOUBLE POST AGAIN ! sorry every time i post a warning comes up and it ends up coming out twice o.0

See i get the warning every time, but never a double post. :/

I change mine every day...if i left them any longer they would be knee deep in poo! They eare on fleece with a thick layer of newspaper underneath.

Have you thought of trying vet bed...?
I tryed fleece and couldnt get on with it... But I think vet bed if fabby... And I find that vet bed doesn't really smell... I usually was the bedding every five days... And poop scoop once a day...

Isn't vetbed quite expensive ? if you could show me a link to the product you buy that would be great, the bigs have just had a bath so are smelling lovely right now ! haha

Oh I love the 'wheeky' clean smell from freshly bathed guinea pigs... :))
It's not cheap... But it's well worth the money... I'll have a little look for a link for you... But I buy mine from a shop by me...
Works out roughly at £10 a meter square...

I guess that's not too bad, does it last long ? is it easy cleaned etc ? do you need anything under it like towel or newspaper ? :)
