Hi
Whilst grooming one of my four girls today I noticed a small dark flake of skin in her fur (looked a bit like a tiny scab potentially?) then noticed a small bald bit in the middle of her rosette- I know the skin is more visible in rosettes but this is slightly larger than usual. It doesn’t look crusty etc at the moment to me?I was worried about ringworm but could it just be where a bit of hair came off with the scab? I’ve not noticed anything on the other girls and I’m not sure how they would have got it as they don’t come into contact with other pigs etc?

Managed to get OH to take a better picture! Doesn’t look pink/red or anything will it be ok to monitor or does it look like something suspicious

Hi

The centre of a rosette usually looks bare because of how the hair is growing away from the centre. Unless the centre of a rosette is red, scaly and/or irregular, there is nothing to worry about. ;)
