Does anyone know an easy way to put slide binders onto an already built corex base. Umpteen broken fingernails later and I've not had success. Really really don't want to dismantle their cage. But have a funny feeling I may have to. Wishes her boys didn't have a taste for corex. :vom:

I found using thin cards like a tescos key fob card helped. Put card at the corner of slider and ease onto corex then slide card along slider and corex at the same time gently push down slider. It was the only way I could get mine on. I don't have any nails, I'm a biter..

Ok thanks I will try that tomorrow. It's driving me mad. Lol. They aren't happy piggies that I have put a slider onto the edge of the corex on their ramp as they tried to eat it tonight and couldn't. Ha ha ha. Should've heard them squealing when they discovered they couldn't eat the corex tonight. lol. :P

No one warns us that these cute little fluffys are really little yops.

I put slide blinders onto an already built correx cage. it took me 3 hours to cover all the sides of a 5ftx5ft cage and a hayloft of 5ft x 2ft. I found the best way was to very carefully open one end to make a wider entrance. This helped it onto the correx and then use brute strength to keep pushing them on. It was worth it in the end as it looks very smart but it is very hard work.

Nooo. That's not good. :-O I may just wait till I have a day spare to put them on then.

Try sliding the end onto the edge of the correx to the end then slide them the full way up. Trying to pry them open just hurts fingers and cause uncontrollable swearing. I really hope this makes sense x

I hope you can eventually do it!

Umm, sounds fun! lol

@Harry&lloyd you didn't hear me swearing the other night did u? Lol. It was terrible trying to out them on. I wish my 2 didn't have ataste for corex. :hb:

Yes @Chief Guinea Pig it's great fun. Lol. I can see me dismantle this cage yet.

Force one end open to ease the binder spine onto the correx.
Use a smear of washing up liquid on the inside edge of the binder spine to lubricate.
Job's a goodun.

I am pleased to hear that my pigs are not the only ones who eat Correx. It always amazed me that it never seemed to do them any harm.
Where do you get these slide binders from? I didn't know they existed.

Not a clear photo but you get the gist of it. If you use 4mm correx then get a 5,6 or 7mm sized slide / spine binder.

mine seem to love the taste of corex :xd:, I got my slide binders off of e bay. I didn't know you could get different thicknesses of slide binders.

Ah yes, I've seen those before . They are not specifically made for the correx, then. Damn good idea though.
I tried using the wooden frames from the panels of a grass hut to protect the edges of correx. Had to tie them on with bent paper clips!
