Hey guys, I have noticed the last few days my little guys have been spending more time doing.....nothing lol. They normally seem more active, but at the moment are both in their respective little hideys lying down.

When I go into the room, one of them runs over to me so I give him a little stroke and he lies right down while I stroke him. Like he's not been lying down enough!

Is this something they do at certain times of the year, or maybe once they have settled into their new home? (i have had them for one and a half months). I had to separate them a week after I got them, although they can still chat through the mesh of their cage - maybe their a bit listless without someone to play with? I think I'm noticing because I'm at home more at the moment.

It sounds normal. The older a guinea pigs gets, the more time they spend sleeping. Guinea pigs have this pattern of activity/eating - sleeping/digesting; they also do that at night.

Mine do this too. A sweetcorn husk or cucumber seem's to liven them up:))

You'll notice a pattern in their sleeping times..... my girls always snooze after their breakfast...... then i'll see them chuttering around later in the morning, then early afternoon it's a BIG siesta :))
Yes the life of a piggie.......ah......... to be waited on hand and paw x)
