What a day yesterday :'( Our bunny Snoopy has been off her food again and really quiet so we took her to the vets yesterday and she was given a gut motility injection and we took her home with some treatments - a fibre thing and some science recovery. When we got home I checked on the piggies and found poor Sleepy had his head tilting to the left asleep in this bedroom doorway nearly toppling over :'( We went straight back to the vets with Sleepy and he has either got an inner ear infection or its neurological poor darling :'( He was prescribed baytril which he absolutely hates and boy does he struggle to get away from the syringe :(
This morning we took Snoopy back to the vets as she has not eaten or used her litter tray overnight and she was really lethargic. She's got to stay in hospital for a couple of days to be given IV fluids and to be syringe fed, she will have gut motility injections eight hourly - If she does not improve the vet is considering investigative surgery :-\
Sleepy is lively today although his head is still tilted to the left he's happy and eating.
The vet is going to phone later to let us know how Snoopy is :)

sending you, snoopy and sleepy hugs and healing vibes :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: hoping both are back to their cheeky selves soon O0 please keep us posted on how they are doing O0 sending big :-* :-* :-* to you all too O0

ohh what a really horrible time for you. I really hope Snoppy is ok at the vets for you an that Sleepy recovers quickly. Keep us posted on how they are. x

oh nooooooo this is sad news for you.......... we're both hoping that all will be well soon O0
First off we need little Snoopy to get back to munching, we're hoping her stay over at the vets will sort out her problems with her tummy :( :( :(
and then little Sleepy oh gosh you have a sore ear or something.... we're sure mummy will try her best for you and get you some meds, yeah we know you don't like them but pleaseeeeeeee take them O0 O0

for the little furries and gosh for you too, you must be beside yourself :'( :'( :'( :'(
((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))) and special piggie kisses :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

:( very sorry to hear of both problems....hopefully sleepy will improve and hope snoopy doesn't have to have surgery x

Sorry to hear about both Sleepy and Snoopy ... apparently piggies can get middle ear infection and that can then leave them with a tilted or wonky head.

Hope all goes ok ... let us know they how they are doing xx

Sleepy is still with us, his head is still tilted, hopefully he will improve. He took an hour and a half to eat a very small amount of chopped up veg less than a teaspoonfull this morning, he sat cudled up to me chewing really slowly as if he was finding it exhausting. I'm going to feed him little and often today so it dosen't exhaust him so much. I can't help thinking the little fella has maybe had a stroke :-\ I've got to keep positive for him, he has put on 2grams today whereas he lost 16grams the previous day :-\
I've just spoken to the vet and Snoopy is not showing much improvement and is resisting her syringe feeds. They are going to put her under GA today and investigate further :-\ I just hope she's strong enough to get through the anaesthetic :'(

am so sorry to hear sleepy and snoopy are both still under the weather, i know how you feel as i have zoe and missy. sending you all hugs and healing vibes :smitten:
:smitten: :smitten: have you thought to try and syringe feed sleepy? poor little angels. keep us posted hoping they are back to themselves in no time. O0

Snoopy had an x-ray yesterday and the vet couldn't see anything untoward O0 She had a GA and her teeth were trimmed which were very slightly overgrown.
We can pick her up today :) We missed her so much :(
Sleepy seems a bit more perky this morning, he's lost weight again though :-\ He dosen't like being syringe fed so I give him his pellets mashed with cool boiled water from a teaspoon or he eats off my fingers :) He's had some apple and pepper and sweetcorn this morning which he loved then he promptly fell asleep in my hands :smitten:
