This is probably a silly question, but I worry a lot ;) When I got my piggy a few weeks ago he always slept hunched up in his hidey. Now he has made a habit of curling up rather like a dog and sleeping outside of it. Is this a normal behavior? Does it mean he is just getting used to the place? Otherwise he seems happy and has been active when not napping, I've just never seen this haha

Aww , yeah he sounds like he is more comfortable.

Guinea pigs are prey animals so will sleep in hideys and similar things to feel safe. If a piggy is sleep in the opne he obviously feels relaxed and comfortable to do so :)

Yes, your boy is becoming confident enough to relax and sleep outside of his hidey. Some piggies like to pancake out on their bellies and others prefer to curl up on their sides. Sorry, I was in the middle of posting when the forum went down.

Thank you, that's good to hear. :)
