Hi

I two male guinea pigs and have them in Furplast 120 cage. Both of them currently sleep under the stairs part if people know what I am on about. The Guinea pigs love it under there and climbing on top of it.

This week there don't seem to be getting on as well it might just be a phrase that will pass. There aren't fighting or anything like that or chattering teeth, it just alot of nose rubbing and mounting from the elder one. When we use to take one out of the cage the other use to cry for them.

While i am off work there are spending at lot of time in the indoor run, but when i go back to work there will not be in the indoor run as much. Anyway as a caution I was going to get igloo's incase but have read mix reviews of these. I am only going to get rid of the furplast stairs if I really think I have to but would like something in place.

Can anymore recommend any sleeping areas?

Thanks

Gareth

Hi Gareth. Adding two hideys into their home allows both boars to have their own space. I would recommend a hidey with two entrances/ exits though, as one boar can get bullied into a corner if there is only one entrance or exit. The best ones probably are cardboard boxes then you can cut your own entrances/exits and it's cheaper. I use them for my girls who can be quite arsey with each other and I cut an entrance in each end. I use the boxes that packets of paper come in for photocopiers. If you work in an office or know someone who does then it might be worth picking some up.

Hope that this helps.
