Sleeping alot.... Depressed?

Hi,

My older guinea pig is sleeping alot. I think He is coming up to about ten months or maybe a bit more.

He seems a bit depressed, can this happen?

I don't know how to cheer him up.

To be honest I don't think he likes my other younger pig. He seems to ignore him alot.. he doesn't play with him that much.

He has been eating fine, and drinking... but he just seems quite down....

I think he is quite prone to getting a bit down from time to time...

Does anyone have anything similar happening? or heard of this?

If he is eating and drinking then it may just be that he is not bonding with the other pig. Do they fight or just ignore each other. He may just have a quiet character but keep a close eye on him for any signs of ill health.
