Skyline Maxi Xxl Guinea Pig Cage

Hi everyone.

The skyline maxi is what currently houses my guinea pigs. I was wondering if anyone had this one, or even a couple because I was wondering whether it was possible to link up two of these to make a really really big cage?

I think it would be possible to take the left hand end off one & the right hand end off the other & clip them together. You'd need some sort of bridge, steps or ramps so they can get from one to the other.

Yes that's it @Stewybus. The mesh is completely collapsible and just clips together so i don't see why i wouldn't be able to do it. I know they would need a bridge or steps but this is easily resolved!

I just wondered whether anyone else had tried it.

I've heard of others doing it before. Perhaps another member will see this thread later & maybe send you a picture.

I did something similar but on a bigger scale. I got 2 4 feet outdoor runs & took the end panels off & joined them together to make an 8 feet indoor run. So it's a similar principal with 2 cages.

I'm actually going to do this for my two boys, then I'm going to use the sides I take off as extra levels in the cages if I can. I used to have a pig called Wigner who has two 100 cages connected. He was perfectly fine using the ramp (I used wooden play logs to cover the join). It's a great way of getting an amazing sized cage out of comercial cages, I can't get on with C&C personally.
