I don't know what is up with my guinea pigs. WE were at my aunts house for a week,we come to my grandma's house, and now their acting like they don't know me. They take food from my hand, drop it,then walk away. They are quite warmed up(after a week of me taming them),but it's like their kind of scared of me.

It may be the change in environment that’s making them a little nervous. Give them some time but continue with hand feeding.

Will do! That was exactly what I thought but i wasn't sure. What about the picking the hand from my food then dropping it? This happens during floor time to!

Welcome to the forum.

Perhaps they just don’t want to eat what you have offered them at that time.

If they take food from your hand then they trust. So don’t feel sad they they take the food and drop it. As said above they may just not want it at that time. Mine will sometimes do that at dinner time. They’ll drop the veg I’ve given them and come asking for something else.

My 2 take food off me only to drop it too. I don't thinks it's anything to worry about :) If they're taking it off you, trust isn't as issue so they were probably just hoping for something else, fussy piggies 😂 My Elvis especially takes food then drops it and comes looking for something else if it's not what he was hoping for.

Nope definitely not just you! It happens all the time- at least every other day, probably more. It depends what they fancy that day, though pepper is often rejected at first in favour of more exciting things like broccoli or herbs.

yummy their favorite food are blueberries!

As long as you keep fruits and carrots and tomatoes to an occasional treat.

Mine will usually drop cucumber in favour of other veg.
