would it be okay for my boar to get an older sow then when we move house a younger skinny pig? i can’t get a skinny now because they live outside

Skinny pigs are very difficult to keep happy and warm, we have had a skinny pig for almost a year now and although I love her very much they are not easy pets in many ways and can be very temperamental and hyperactive and not play well with others and usually hate being handled. Unless you are very experienced with indoor guinea pigs and very commited to spending a lot of time and money on them, and are quite prepared to set up a second cage and spend time finding them a compatible friend as a plan B if they dont get along with the others, I wouldnt go for a skinny pig- they are not just a guinea pig that happens to be hairless, essentially they are a mutant lab animal that hasnt been bred for being a good pet in the same way furry piggies have!

You’ve been given good advise above.

One question I have is whether your boar is neutered. If not you can’t put him with ANY sow.
