Skinny Pigs

I am an experienced guinea pig keeper and would like to adopt a pair of skinnies or werewolfs. I dont agree with breeders & would really like to adopt/rescue a pair. All of my pets are rescues. Does anyone know any rescues that deal with these breeds?

Hi Tracey. I would imagine all guinea pig rescues come into contact with skinny pigs but maybe do not advertise them due to people not understanding their needs. I would email your local rescues to ask them to bare you in mind if any come in.

I agree with Piggyfan. Rescues will probably keep it quiet that they have skinnies but from what I've read/heard they are been seen as a fashion accessory like small dogs in handbags. I've had a nosey on webstes and noticed an increase of people trying to get rid... I hope you find some skinnies and give them he best home possible.
